Summary
This week, we've added Task Lists to Accelerator360™, providing flexibility to your content creation workflows. With Task Lists, you'll be able to keep track of the various details and jobs that are unique to your organization.
Additionally, the Content Library filters have seen their first round of improvements and some UX tweaks made to issuing content streamlines
New Features
Track work with Task Lists. Users can now associate a Task List with one or more Content Types; when reviewing and editing content, that Task List can be opened and its entries marked as complete.
Some notes on Task Lists:
Task Lists are free-form. Create as many or as few Tasks as needed for you team, be prescriptive or broad.
Task Lists are segmented. Include nameable dividers to separate your Tasks by role, state, user, or any other method.
Task Lists are open. All Users have access to the full Task List when reviewing content.
Task Lists are tracked. Checking and unchecking a Task is recorded in the Assignment History.
Tasks Lists are optional. When approving content with one or more incomplete Tasks, Users are warned that some steps may have been missed - they can then decide to proceed with approval or cancel.
Customize Task Lists via Configure. Task Lists can be created and edited by Users with Configure access via Configure > Task Lists. Task Lists can be assigned to one or more Content Types (this association can be changed from the Edit Content Type page as well.) Users can add, edit, move, and delete Tasks and Dividers from this page.
Improvements to Existing Features
Filters in Content Library updated. The State filters listed in the Content Library have a smattering of life-improvements:
All content displayed by default. No filters are initially selected when opening the Library, so all content is displayed. This also makes is easier to limit a search by a single state.
Filters are stored in the session. As you navigate the system and return to the Library, your most recent filters will still be selected.
Reset filters button added. Users can quickly get back to the default view of all content with this addition.
Issuing Content changes. Whether issuing content to Contributors or Users, a few updates go a long way to improving the experience:
- First and Last Names nixed. Users no longer need to enter a first and last name for Contributors when taking the Add by Email action.
- Date Picker added. Instead of setting the number of business days for due dates, Users will select the precise date and time.
