Summary
Customizable Content Types are being introduced to Accelerator360, providing flexibility to the creation and review of every piece of content. Administrators can now create Content Types that are unique to their channel, each with its own distinct field template and prompt for AI generated content briefs. Additionally, freelance contributors can now create and edit their profiles directly within Accelerator360.
New Features
Custom Content Types. In addition to the preset Content Types (e.g. Short-form Article, Video, Infographic, White Paper) that every channel comes equipped with, new original Content Types can now be created and maintained. This allows for more distinct and unique types of content to be defined on a channel-by-channel basis. For example, one channel needs to distinguish between Short-form Articles and Long-form Articles, while another channel is creating Listicles and Micrographics.
Administrators can now create new Content Types from Configure > Original Content Types. When creating a new Content Type, users will select a format: Text, Image, Video, or Custom. This format defines the primary field(s) users will see when editing and reviewing this Content Type’s content:
Text. Displays the WYSIWYG editor
Image. Displays the Image Uploader
Video. Displays the Video Uploader
Custom. Displays the fields defined in the Content Template
Customizable Content Templates. Each Content Type now has a Template of fields defined for it, allowing Accelerator360 to capture and render all the requirements of multifaceted content. For example, a Short-form Article may have Meta Title, Meta Description, and Featured Image fields defined in its Template, while a Micrographic may have File Attachment and Tags fields. When creating or reviewing content in Text, Image, and Video formats, these fields are found in the Additional Fields section. For content in the Custom format, these fields are located in the main view of the content.
Administrators can now access Templates from Configure > Original Content Types and selecting Edit next to the corresponding Content Type.
Every field requires a Name and ID (auto-generated), allows Description and Placeholder text, and is configurable as Required/Not Required. Allowed field types:
Single Line of Text. A text box for shorter needs (e.g. Meta Title, Section Header, URL). Can be configured with a minimum-maximum character count.
Plain Text Editor. A larger text box for longer entries (e.g. Meta Description, Pull Quote, Image Caption). Can be configured with a minimum-maximum character count.
Rich Text Editor. A full featured text box for longer entries (e.g. Content Body, Key Takeaways). Can be configured with a minimum-maximum character count.
Single-Select. A drop-down selector, mapped to a Shared Catalog, for picking entries (e.g. Author, Category).
Multi-Select. A check-box selector, mapped to a Shared Catalog, for picking multiple entries (e.g. Tags, Associated Products).
File Attachment. A file uploader. Can be configured to accept Image, Video, PDF, Document, Spreadsheet, Powerpoint, or Audio files. Can be configured to accept one or more files.
Date-Time. A date and time selector for specifying historical or future events (e.g. Product Launch, Original Release Date).
Instruction. A display-only section to provide users with additional instructions about the content needs.
Shared Catalogs. When configuring Content Types, administrators can create and edit Shared Catalogs, which store value-pairs to be used in Single-Select and Multi-Select fields. Once created, a single Shared Catalog can be used across all of a channel’s Content Types.
Contributor Profiles. Contributors can now create accounts and edit their profiles within Accelerator360. Previously, their profiles needed to be created in Skyword360 and then imported; many contributors will find their information already added to our latest platform. This opens the door to new contributors, who can be included on RFPs and added to Contributor Lists.
Contributor profiles consist of the following fields:
Bio. A little bit about yourself. Bios are searchable and readable by clients when opening RFPs and issuing assignments.
Tags. Keyword phrases associated with your work. Tags are searchable and readable by clients when opening RFPs and issuing assignments.
Contributor Type. Options currently include Writer, Designer, and Videographer. Select the type(s) of work you would like to receive.
Location. Your City and Country. Used when local creative talent is required on projects.
Content Samples. Your works; at least three are needed to appear in the talent pool search. Content samples are accessible by clients when opening RFPs and issuing assignments.
Portfolio and Social Profiles. Your links; at least two are needed to appear in the talent pool search. Portfolios and Social Profiles are accessible by clients when opening RFPS and issuing assignments.
Improvements to Existing Features
Content Brief Generation handles Custom Content Types. Content Types can now have their own distinct prompts defined for generating Content Briefs. This allows for brand specific formatting, reducing the editorial lift when issuing assignments to contributors. Administrators can edit the associated prompt from Configure > Original Content Types, selecting Edit next to the corresponding Content Type, and then selecting the Create Brief option.
