Original Content Types refer to any asset types that will be created by a contributor in Accelerator360, either via Create or Plan. Your channel will come equipped with preset Original Content Types (e.g. Short-form Article, Video, Infographic, White Paper), but you can also opt to establish, create and maintain your own custom Original Content Types.
Custom Content Types can allow you to create more distinct and unique types of content which you can define on a channel-by-channel basis. For example, one channel needs to distinguish between Short-form Articles and Long-form Articles, while another channel is creating Listicles and Micrographics.

New Custom Content Types are instantly available via the Create Assignments page once configured.
When creating a new Content Type, you will first select a format: Text, Image, Video, or Custom. This format defines the primary field(s) users will see when editing and reviewing this Content Type’s content:
- Text: Displays the WYSIWYG editor
- Image: Displays the Image Uploader
- Video: Displays the Video Uploader
- Custom: Displays the fields defined in the Content Template
Once you have established the Content Type format, you will be able to customize the Content Template for that content type.
*At this time users cannot create custom Content Types. Contact your Skyword representative for help creating new Content Types and Content Templates configured in your Accelerator360 channel.
