Two-factor authentication (2FA) is used to enhance security by adding an extra layer of protection beyond just your password. It significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account, even if a password is stolen or compromised. 2FA works by requiring two different forms of identification, making it much harder for malicious actors to gain access to the system.
Note: Accelerator360™ only supports 2FA through third-party authentication apps (i.e. Google Authenticator), not SMS.
2FA Setup Steps
- Hover over your initials in the lower left corner and select Edit Profile
- Select “Setup Two-Factor Authentication”
- In your Authentication app, scan the QR Code or enter the Secret Key
- Enter the six digit code generated by your Authentication app
- Decide to trust your current browser for 30 days or not
- Select Enable 2FA to complete the process
