The Skyword recruiters and editorial teams view contributor profiles all the time to find the right content creators for Skyword clients. They recommend the following tips for making sure your profile stands out.
- Your profile is your resume: List all relevant writing experience, education, certifications, and samples. These fields should tell us why you are an expert on the topics you have checked off. It is okay to brag.
- Your bio is your cover letter: Tell us who you are, why you have signed up for Skyword, and elaborate on anything we might find interesting that is not captured in the other fields.
- Location matters: Many clients want location-specific contributors.
- Photos attract: Upload a picture. It lets us put a face to the name.
- Current details can get you work: Update often. If you write new articles, earn a new degree, or move to a new state, make sure it is reflected in your Skyword account. Of course, not every opportunity will match your background and expertise; however, new opportunities are always coming in. Make sure your contributor profile is the best possible reflection of your capabilities so you do not miss out!
